My first cookie exchange was on Saturday hosted by my dear friend, Angela. She's always up for festivities and she decked her apartment in all things Christmas to get everyone in the spirit. Right down to the Boney M tunes, speciality cranberry cheese and shot-glass carrot and ginger soup - Ange had everything covered. The cookie treats were aplenty and I've got enough at home now to last me the entire holidays! Thanks girls :)
I've baked maybe three times in my life, so I choose an easy peasy recipe and even practiced making it a week before the exchange. I burnt my first batch of cookies which was fine, because I half expected that to happen. The second, third and fourth batch were perfect. And so I'm going to quit while I'm ahead and not bake for another year or so :)
