Just before the new press came into the studio, I took the opportunity to get some things up to par. I made a new lever strap as the original one started to tear apart. This one is made from some kind of wool and I sheared the edges just to make it look nicer.

Do you mind if I ask what the lever strap is for? I have and print on a pilot, and I see that you must use the strap to put the press into the closed position, but is there a reason you would want it to stay in that position? Thanks...
