The Wedding Co.'s Spring Wedding Show at The Drake was one of the best shows I've ever participated in. Top notch vendors (catering, make-up, stationery, floral, photographers...) were along side some of the cities best independent crafty artisans. A big shout out to The Wedding Co. team (Stephanie G. and Stephanie W.) and Catherine Lash for inviting me to participate in the show and for running such a smooth event.

In addition to having a table set up for the snap & tumble goods, I was also scheduled to run two letterpress workshops. The sessions introduced couples (and friends) to a small table top press and to metal type which they hand set and locked up. We experimented with both ink and blind printing. I also demonstrated how to make lined envelopes with a super pretty collection from The Paper Place. It was great to see the smiles on everyone and the instant gratification that the press so often gives to the printer. It was a pleasure to meet engaged couples Nick and Eunmi, and Grant and Kristen in the workshop. Also nice to meet friends Alyssha and Andrea (bride-to-be), and Christine and Erinn (bride-to-be).

It was the first time I'd ever taken one of my presses out of my home for a workshop. Though it was a good experience overall, it was alot of work. Thankfully my husband was there to help lug all of the equipment in (and out) and then stationed himself at the table till the end of the show. What a trooper my guy is!
