hardcover goodness

I keep amassing second-hand store finds. Still, there are good intentions of framing these large vintage hardcovers. But that's what I said about these too.

I love that first book cover! It's beautiful.

And is Katy No-Pocket the story of a kangaroo who has no pouch and whose baby lives in the apron of a carpenter?!? That's what the cover leads me to believe. If so, Amazing:)

Knotted Nest: Hi Kristen! I really like the yellow of the first cover. The illustration, however, is slightly strange :) About the story...almost but not quite. SPOILER ALERT: After asking other animals how they carry their young, she ends up in the city at the advice of a wise old owl, and she meets a carpenter who gives her his apron to wear so she can carry her son around. Everyone's happy!

I see....so that's how that whole carrying a baby kangaroo thing evolved. Cute and informative!
