This morning was the letterpress workshop trial (mentioned before) and it went oh so well! The four hours flew by and printed stationery was everywhere! The gals I invited are paper lovers, journallers and photographers - creativity overflowing. As much as it was a treat for them to learn and print first hand, it was great to see them go to town with the available metal type. Ideas were brewing faster than they could feed the press. The girls did it all -from setting type, locking the forme, mixing colours, figuring out registration, cranking and cleaning the press.
Think you'd be interested in learning some of the basics on printing with a table-top press too? I'll be holding workshops on August 18th, September 11th and 18th from 10am-2pm. Workshop fee is $140.
I'll be sending an email with more details to those who previously expressed interest in attending a workshop. If you'd like to be on the email list, let me know at snapandtumble@gmail.com.
