soothing sounds of a golding jobber

PRINTER'S BLOCK from Georgia Gruzen on Vimeo.

In Lower Manhattan's historic South Street Seaport district, Master Printer Robert Warner ingeniously prints with the famous 1901 clamshell press, The Golding Jobber.

"When printing a hundred cards they'll be seen by at least a thousand people because they'll be sent out into the world. And to be able to send letterpress printed images through the mail is just my idea of heaven."

He took the words right out of my mouth.

Wish I'd known about this place when I visited last year! Music to my ears :)
