mission printable

snap & tumble gets busy

Yay for Daylight Savings - I got an "extra" hour of printing today. I'm a bit out of it due to my massive printing mission this weekend. So just a few short notes:

1. Crane paper arrived on Friday - all 125 sheets of them.

2. Stack cutter works like a dream. My shredded city phone book is proof.

3. I found a flat piece of glass the size of a rectangular placemat for mixing ink. The dollar store has everything.

4. Corner rounder machine is addictive. All my scrap paper is Web 2.0-ified.

5. Rubber based inks - tough to use! I find that these inks are harder to manipulate when mixing and I got a lump in my throat when my rollers resisted going up the ink disc at first application. These inks are also less forgiving than oil-based inks when it gets on the hands. What I do like - are that the brilliant colours I got from mixing! I realized I got the wrong black. I ordered base black and it has a blue pigment in it which turned my yellow a green.

6. I printed about 50 cards this weekend. But it feels like a lot more because of the number of colours I used. I have yet to score, fold and brand. Yikes.

Woah, you have been busy. Love the designs though, and the colours are great -- especially the penguin!
